What is your style of photography?

My photography style is mostly documentary. I enjoy photographing events as they happen opposed to creating them. Mostly documentary because I find that couples who are looking today do want a few posed shots with family and the entire bridal party.

I want some formal pictures with my family, do you do this?

Yes, I have a list of formal pictures I normally take. I try to limit this list to the bridal party and immediate family so I can get you on your way to enjoying your reception. I do discourage long “must take” picture lists, if there is a specific shot that you want and its not one I have covered, I will gladly take the picture, just ask. The reason I discourage the long lists of posed shots is because this will take more of your time being away from your guests and reception. It also keeps me from doing my job of documenting your wedding in a photojournalistic way, which is why you would have hired me.

I’m not ready to book yet, but can you hold the date?

To hold your wedding date a $400 retainer and a signed contract is required. The $400 retainer is applied towards your final balance. This retainer is nonrefundable. When I hold the date for you it means I will be turning away other clients that are interested in your date. The final balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.

I’m ready to book, what do I do?

Contact me through email or by phone. You can set up a time to come by and sign the contract and pay the $400 retainer. Or you can download the agreement here, print, sign and mail it back to me with the retainer.

I am not sure what package I want, do I have to decide right away?

No. I do not require you to decide on a package right away. You have up until 4 weeks before your wedding to pick a package and then we will know the final balance.

Do you travel?

I am happy to travel out of the state as I occasionaly do. There is no traveling fee outside of the New Orleans Metro area as far as Baton Rouge to Biloxi for your wedding, call for more details outside of this area.

Do you take Checks and Credit Cards?

I accept personal checks, money orders and cash. I do not accept credit cards.

What kind of camera do you use?

At the current time I use the Nikon D3s, with Nikon glass. It’s this combination of the D3s and the top Nikon lenses that allow for allot less or no flash during your wedding and portraits.

I have been shooting weddings since 2001 and have answered these faq’s exactly like this to many brides and even some photographers that I have shot their wedding.
